Servolution?
Can Jesus Christ do evil?

Would it be possible for Jesus Christ to do something evil?

Since no one is going to be dumb enough to come right out and say "Yeah, Jesus can do evil", the real question I ought to be asking, is this:

Why can't Jesus do something evil?"

And the answer is, quite simply, Jesus cannot do evil because of who He is, by nature, or more corretly, in essence. He cannot do evil because of who and what He is. The Good and Holy person that He is makes everything He does good and holy.

Now consider this from a different angle.

Of the "works" that man does, which are actually good and holy, and which are evil?

This may suprise you because the answer is the same for you as it is for Jesus Christ.

Good works are those works done by God's saints. ONLY!

Evil works are those works done by worldly sinners, and the particulars of exactly which kind of works is completely and utterly, and absolutely... IRRELEVANT!

That is why feeding the poor and the homeless, handing out water to the thirsty, helping the widow and the fatherless, finding cures for cancer, building "habitats for humanity", and everything else like it can be described by God as a putrid stinking mass of rotten fruit whose very smell He cannot stand and has promised one day to destroy all of it with furious fire.

Hopefully now, I have your attention.

A work is "good" only if the person is "good." And the only way to become "good" is the way that Jesus Christ said: Repent and Believe, and add absolutely nothing else to that.

If you try to take Christ's blood, and Christ's work, and ADD TO IT IN ANY WAY, that is called "adultery". You need to do what Jesus Christ bids you to do which is to deny yourself (your trust in your own works) and trust only in Him.

Here in Tulsa, a local church is participating in a "movement" they are calling "servolution." Real original, eh? The idea here is to send people out to "get busy with good works" without (as far as I can tell) doing anything at all to determine whether the works they are about to do are good or evil. They are making (as far as I can tell), not the slightest effort to ensure that the people who are particpating are not simply gathering greater condemnation on their heads and a judgment of damnation for what they are about to go out and do.

God's holiness is NOT to be triffled with. It's not a plaything for you to play with. It is fire that will as easily burn you as warm you.

My recommendation to this church, and to all those wishing to particpate is simply this: Examine yourselves to see whether your are of the faith or not. Because if you are not, then what you are about to do is only EVIL because it emmanates from the evil of your own hearts and your own evil imagination. It will only result in further condemnation and greater punishment on you, and is a great disservice to those whom you erroneously think you are helping.

If you are a "bad tree", then the fruit you are producing is BAD FRUIT no matter how much like "good fruit" it looks. And make no mistake - a LOT of bad fruit looks like good fruit on the outside. But God says quite plainly:
Good fruit comes only from GOOD TREES.

And shame on this church for not having the BASIC "milk of the word" sense enough to know this and to warn people of the danger!

Wanna know what Jesus says to you about this matter? Here it is: "You hypocrits. First make the INSIDE OF THE CUP CLEAN! Then you can attend to the outside!"

Except the inside is clean, the outside is nothing but filthy, no matter how "white" it's been painted.

And that's not ME talkin!

If you can bear to watch it, here's a video of "Reverend Spike and Dr. Tweeze" from one of the participating churches. It reeks of worldliness like Duran Duran reeks of "eighties!" (Hey, see! I can be "relevant" too! ;-)

Interesting that they would jokingly call it "swervolution" at the beginning. I'd say it's rather appropos.
