Let's face it: Global Warming is the New Religion.

Frankly, I think it is THE One World Religion that the Bible warns us of.

And I'm not just speaking metaphorically - it is quite literally a religion. It has preachers and evangelists; and blind faith adherants. Most of the people who have swallowed the camel could not begin to tell you why they believe what they believe other than to say "Because, golly, so many others believe it too! Gosh... don't YOU believe?"

No. I do not.


What it ultimately comes down to is this: The Global warming crowd makes the basic assertion in this form: "Really SMART people agree with us. Really DUMB people disagree with us. Agree with us or lots of people will think you are dumb." That's about all that's actually left in the Global Warming Ammo Clip.

If you want proof of this principle, I invite you to read my paintball articles and the comments people left in regard to them. 95% or so (roughly estimated) parrot the exact same arguments over and over and over again in spite of the fact that I never said or claimed half the things they criticize, or else accuse me of not answering THEM after failing to notice that I answered a DOZEN other people who asked the same question. In any case, it always seems to boil down to the fact the people simply do not READ. They SKIM - looking for keywords. "Blah blah blah, blah blah blah I disagree with you..." FIRE UP THE FLAME THROWER!


That crowd says things like "[layoffs wouldn't happen] if american energy companies were more agile and able to enbrace new technologies as they come reather than hold onto the same old stuff decade after decade. (sic)", without offering even a hint what "new technologies" they are talking about. Why not? Because if they dared to actually give an example, it would immediately get shot down in flames for the ludicrous nonsense that it is. The way around that unpleasantness is to assert strongly that there ARE such technologies, but refuse to say what they are, and instead insinuate (again) "Smart people already know. Dumb people don't know...." Don't you remember THAT mentality on the playground in, like, second grade? "I DO TOO know, but I'm not telling YOU."

The Global Warming crowd say things like the following, which I will quote in it's entirety:

has the planet's climate changed in the past? YES is this a sound 'argument' against present day climate change? NO!!!!!!

what simple logic. even on the drudge site...look it's snowing in APRIL..how on earth can the planet be getting warmer if it snow's in april??? if it were that simple then perhaps you people could wrap your amoebic brains around it. --Louis

You want to ask the guy, "well, how CAN the planet be dangerously warming if it is in fact snowing in April?" This is one of those instances where you are looking right at the guy and saying, "Uh, Excuse me, but my experience refutes your theory."

This guy is essentially saying that a known repeating pattern is not really a pattern at all.




Or, worst of all, there are the people who read an entire article quoting facts, figures, and first hand experiential knowledge, and the best they can do is write a retort that says (in total):

"Oh, Please!"

Please WHAT, man?



The amount of temperature change that Global Warming "scientists" actually have documentary evidence for (that means, actual temperature readings) amounts to less than ONE SINGLE DEGREE in more than a century.

If global warming were experienced more like room warming, no one would be alarmed. You could be (and in fact are) sitting in a room which experienced an Al Gore-sized temperature shift, and you would be completely unaware of it.
